Who operates VII

VII is operated by Houzou Kabushiki Gaisha, Room 101, 1-10-16 Shin-Imazato, Ikuno-ku, Osaka, Japan. Privacy and data requests: support@discovervii.com.

Test answers and reports

We process your questionnaire answers to calculate your Seven Sins × Seven Virtues result and assemble your personalized report. Your active questionnaire is held in an encrypted session cookie. The service stores result and report data, purchase status and access records to provide and protect access to your report.

Payments and email

Payment is processed through Stripe Checkout. Sensitive payment card information is provided directly to Stripe; VII does not store your full card number. We process payment references, payment status and transaction amounts to confirm purchases and resolve payment problems. Stripe may collect your email and other information during checkout under its Privacy Policy.

If you contact support, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. Where purchase recovery is available, your checkout email is used to match purchases and send a recovery link. Recovery records use a keyed identifier derived from the address rather than storing the plain address in those tables. This is pseudonymous information, not anonymous information.

Cookies and browser storage

An encrypted session cookie supports the questionnaire and protects forms, with a 12-hour lifetime. Where purchase recovery is used, an encrypted access cookie can retain report access for up to 90 days. Temporary sessionStorage is used to coordinate the result reveal animation. Clearing browser storage can remove your current session or access. Cookie expiry does not automatically delete stored result or transaction records.

Hosting, logs and service providers

VII is hosted on Render. Hosting and payment providers process information needed to deliver and secure the service. Technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and request timing, may be processed by hosting infrastructure. Application security logs use limited error and outcome codes rather than recording questionnaire answers or full payment details. Support email is forwarded to our support mailbox for handling enquiries.

We use service providers to operate hosting, payments and communications. Information may be processed outside your country where those providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect the service and legal rights.

Optional service analytics

The application includes optional first-party analytics. When enabled, it records service events such as test progress, report views and confirmed purchases, together with a pseudonymous journey identifier, limited campaign information and referring hostname. The analytics records exclude questionnaire answers, report text, email addresses, IP addresses and browser user-agent strings. No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel is integrated into this application.

Sharing your result

Sharing is optional. If you create a share link, anyone with that link can view its public result summary. Private answers and the full paid report are excluded. Keep private report access and recovery links confidential.

Retention and your choices

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, legal obligations, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and enforcement of agreements. There is no automatic account-deletion feature, and cookie expiry is not a promise of automatic record deletion.

Contact support@discovervii.com to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to ask about applicable privacy rights. We may need enough information to verify your request and locate the relevant records. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. Do not send card numbers, passwords or private access links.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
